As of August 3, 2016, 811 horse and rider combinations are qualified to compete at the United States Eventing Association Area VII Championships at Aspen Farms on September 9 – 11. Click here to see a complete list of Area VII Championships Qualified Riders as of August 3, 2016.

With two qualifying horse trials left to go in Area VII, here is a breakdown of qualified horse and rider combinations by state:

  • Washington = 465
  • Montana = 78
  • Oregon Rides = 78
  • California = 55
  • Idaho = 52
  • British Columbia = 34
  • Wyoming = 15
  • Alberta = 12
  • Colorado = 9
  • Iowa = 3
  • Utah = 3
  • Texas = 3
  • Pennsylvania = 2
  • Arizona = 2

Of the 811 riders currently qualified in Area VII, 306 are junior and young riders aged 21 years or under.

Competitors who are not yet qualified for this year’s Area VII Championships have a final opportunity to qualify at one of the last two qualifying competitions this weekend: Area VII Young Rider Benefit Horse Trials in Chehalis, Washington or Stanton Farms Horse Trials in Deary, ID.

To qualify for Championships, horses and riders must place first, second, third, or fourth in their division. Horses and riders who placed fifth at a qualification competition will be considered for wild card entries in Championship classes at Aspen Farms September 9 – 11 if space is available.

On August 16, 2016 Aspen Farms will post the final accepted rider list for Area VII Championships and Aspen Farms Horse Trials with a ranked waitlist. Up to date entry information can be found at www.startboxscoring.com.
