This Friday, September 9th at 6:30 p.m. the USEA Area VII Adult Riders and Young Riders are sponsoring a Water Complex Walk led by Olympian Nick Holmes-Smith at Aspen Farms Horse Trials and USEA Area VII Championships. This educational event is free to the public and open to all competitors and spectators; we hope you will join us!
Nick Holmes-Smith of British Columbia, Canada has been involved in the sport of eventing for decades, not only as an international competitor but as a course designer, technical delegate, and show organizer. Nick has represented Canada in three-day eventing at the Olympics twice (1988 Seoul Olympics and 1992 Barcelona Olympics). He also achieved two gold medals from the Pan American World Championships in 1992.
During the Water Complex Walk on Friday evening, Nick will review the lines and questions presented for each level by the course designers. Nick will discuss strategies for effectively riding through each line and will answer questions from the crowd. This will be an interactive, fun event you won’t want to miss!
Many thanks to Area VII Adult Riders and Young Riders for organizing this fantastic educational activity. To participate, join us at the water jump complex in the main cross-country field at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening.
