Erik Duvander Eventing Clinic, September 16-17, 2017

Erik Duvander returns to the Pacific Northwest, hosted by Aspen Farms. The two-day clinic is limited in size to only 18 riders; stabling is available. Entries are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

Erik is a highly regarded High Performance Eventing Team Leader and Coach with over 30 years of experience working within a High Performance environment. Erik represented Sweden at Worlds and won European Team Gold in 1993. Since transitioning from rider to coach, Erik has led teams from Japan, Sweden, and New Zealand to the Olympic and World Games. He has coached at four Olympic Games, five World Championships, and hundreds of top end International Events around the World. Drawing on his vast experience of coaching and competing, Erik transmits his learning to his riders in a balanced and expert manner.

Cost: $350 Clinic, $50 stabling, donation suggested for auditing.

Kyle Carter Eventing Clinic, May 20-21, 2017

Kyle is a sought after coach for riders at every level, from novice to four star. He has been the Area III NAJYRC Coach since 2002, where his CCI** teams have had three Gold Medal wins in addition to several individual and team medals at both the CCI* and CCI** levels. Most recently, Kyle led the CCI** team to a Gold Medal win in 2010. Kyle has also served as the Guatemalan Pan American Team Coach for the past 2 years. On a personal level, Kyle has coached the Intermediate Amateur High point rider, Preliminary Amateur High Point Rider, and 1995 Markham Trophy Winner (awarded to the highest placed Young Rider at a CCI*** Championship). Kyle is also a Level IV ICP coach in the US, a Level III Certified Coach in Canada, and he sits on the Coaching Faculty for Canada. Please visit the “Services” page to read student testimonials.

The clinic will consist of 1 hour 30 minute group sessions with 4-5 riders per group. Jump sessions in the sand show jumping ring on Saturday and the cross-country course on Sunday. Priority given to entries who ride both days. Auditors are welcome.

Leslie Law Eventing Clinic, February 3-5, 2017

Back by popular demand! Leslie Law is a three-day eventing Olympic gold medalist from Great Britain. Riders may register to ride until December 20, 2016.

Friday: Optional private or semi-private dressage lessons
Saturday and Sunday: Jumping in the indoor, small groups

Auditors are welcome; pay at the door. Please bring a chair and dress warmly!

Working Equitation Playday, November 19 and 20, 2016

Join us for an introduction to working equitation! Working equitation is an international sport growing quickly in the U.S. and consisting of three phases–dressage, ease of handling (a judged course of obstacles), and speed (a time course of obstacles). This fun, informative playday will consist of coffee and snacks, an unmounted overview of the sport and coursewalk, Q&A, 90-minute guided ease of handling sessions, and a demonstration of working equitation through the levels by Chesna Klimek and Pippin. Horses and riders of all levels and disciplines are welcome to try working equitation in a supportive environment or take this opportunity to prepare for the upcoming show season. Fun cross-training for three-day eventers! Auditors are welcome; please bring a chair ($15 per day; free to kids aged 16 and under and WE United members).
